A Little About Me....

I’m just a normal dude who has a passion for science, health, fitness and food. Yes, food! All kinds of foods, pizza, pancakes, burgers, waffles, organ meats, there are so many options! However, how do you make these food choices fit within the framework of a ketogenic lifestyle? Better yet, how do you fit these foods into your diet without going overboard and still make sure your providing your body with the appropriate nutrient quality it needs to support a healthy lifestyle? I believe I have the answer to this burning question and it is through the utilization of what I call a flexible ketogenic lifestyle (FKL). At it’s core a flexible ketogenic lifestyle aims to use flexible dieting techniques to obtaining a deeper state of ketosis (DSK) to maximize fat loss while preserving lean muscle and increasing energy levels. This optimizes your body's ability to use fat for fuel, allowing you to shed pounds without the low energy feeling of traditional dieting. Achieving a deeper state of ketosis through a flexible ketogenic lifestyle is truly the most sustainable and efficient way to lose body fat, become highly keto adapted and to obtain the body you desire.

Since 2010, I have dabbled in what is widely known as the ketogenic diet or “keto”. It started with my involvement in a scientific study in which I was a participant to determine the effects of a ketogenic diet on Body Composition, Strength, Power, and Hormonal Profiles in Resistance Training Males. During this time I was able to increase lean muscle mass and performance markers all while losing body fat. Needless to say after this study I was hooked! I wanted to learn anything and everything I could about the ketogenic diet and what I like to refer to now as a “flexible ketogenic lifestyle”. I began working in the human performance lab at the University of Tampa as a research assistant spending countless hours diving into the literature, reading and studying anything and everything I could find on the ketogenic diet and it’s effects and potential benefits on us humans. 

More recently I have decided to push outside of my comfort zone and become a natural ketogenic physique athlete as well as lifestyle and fitness model. The utilization of a flexible ketogenic lifestyle to obtain a deeper state of ketosis has allowed me to achieve these aspirations and ultimately cultivate the life I want to live in the body I love.

 

It is now, after ten years of experience researching and following a ketogenic lifestyle that I have found my SWEET (pun intended) spot and feel I am ready to share my knowledge and coach ya’ll on how to effectively and efficiently utilize a flexible ketogenic lifestyle to achieve a deeper state of ketosis to fuel performance, gain muscle, build a lean physique and to cultivate and live your most optimal life yet.
